mys Living has added to its team with the appointment of Mark Findlay as their new Director of Development to move forward with its development projects.

Mark joins mys from Gardiner & Theobald where he was Partner in charge of their Edinburgh Office. A chartered quantity surveyor, his previous experience also includes Development Management roles at Unite Students.

With over 30 years’ experience in the construction and property industry, Mark has delivered over 5,000 student accommodation beds throughout the UK in locations such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, Newcastle, Sheffield, London, Cambridge and Oxford.

Mark stated, “Joining mys marks the start of an exciting chapter in my career and also for the Development side of the business. The culture and values of mys are closely aligned to my own and I am genuinely looking forward to growing the business and delivering projects that make a difference with all my colleagues”

Mark will be heavily focused on the management and delivery of all Development projects for and on behalf of MYS.

Mark’s appointment is the second major hire in 2025 after the appointment of Fergus Campbell and the continued expansion comes following the management buy-out of the business in late 2024.
